bloombudz Delivers Over 400 Flower Arrangements to Seniors in Paragould: Spreading Love and Joy One Bloom at a Time

At bloombudz, flowers are more than petals and stems—they're a way to say "you matter." And this July, we had the honor of sharing that message with over 400 senior citizens across Paragould, Arkansas.

In one of our largest community outreach efforts to date, bloombudz delivered more than 400 handcrafted flower arrangements to five local senior facilities: Greene Acres, Sunshine Manor, Chateau on the Ridge, House Cottages at Belle Mead, and the Senior Bees Center. Our goal? To brighten the rooms—and the hearts—of some of the most treasured members of our community.

Why We Delivered 400+ Arrangements to Paragould Seniors

As a local florist in Paragould, bloombudz has always been committed to giving back to the community that supports us. We know how powerful flowers can be—especially to those who may not receive visitors often or who are navigating health and life transitions. With that in mind, we came together with one mission: deliver beauty, kindness, and a sense of connection to every resident possible.

The idea started as a small “sunshine project” but quickly blossomed into something much bigger. Thanks to local support and a whole lot of love, we were able to create 400 unique floral arrangements, each designed with joy in mind.

The Facilities That Made It Extra Special

Each senior care facility we visited holds a special place in our hearts. Here’s a look at the amazing locations we partnered with:

• Greene Acres Nursing Home A longstanding pillar of the Paragould healthcare community, Greene Acres was filled with smiles and stories as we delivered colorful floral bundles to its residents.

• Sunshine Manor True to its name, this facility radiated positivity. The floral gifts from bloombudz were met with warm welcomes and thankful hearts.

• Chateau on the Ridge This beautiful assisted living community offered a serene backdrop for our flower drop-off. Residents admired the blooms while sharing how they reminded them of gardens they once tended.

• House Cottages at Belle Mead With its home-like environment and caring staff, Belle Mead was a joy to visit. Our team was able to personally hand out many arrangements, making it even more meaningful.

• Senior Bees Center A hub for senior activities in Paragould, this center was buzzing with energy! The vibrant flowers were the perfect addition to their already joyful space.

Each arrangement was handcrafted by Casey and Joshua, using fresh, seasonal blooms that radiate happiness and peace. We chose summer hues—yellows, pinks, whites, Orange and purples—to reflect the warmth of the season and the tenderness of the moment. Every bouquet was arranged in an easy-to-handle container, ensuring that residents could enjoy their flowers comfortably in their rooms. We also included a note with every arrangements, reminding each senior that they are seen, loved, and appreciated.

Community First: How Paragould Made It Happen

While the floral designs came from bloombudz, the heart behind the project was truly community-driven. Our efforts were supported by sponsors, local volunteers and staff at each facility. It was inspiring to witness how a small act—delivering flowers—could spark so many beautiful moments of gratitude and human connection.

Many residents shared memories about their favorite flowers, gardens they used to keep, or the last time they received a bouquet. For some, it had been years. And for us, hearing those stories reminded us exactly why we do what we do.

Why Giving Flowers Matters

Numerous studies have shown that flowers can improve emotional well-being, especially for seniors. Bright colors, fragrant blooms, and the act of receiving a thoughtful gift can boost mood, reduce feelings of loneliness, and spark meaningful memories.
